WebRTC should be a good enough field to be in. Not too crowded, with a lot of demand on the market.

Other highly sought after areas are big data analytics and security.

If I had to choose today where to go, it would be one of the above domains.

Ok, thanks a lot for response.

Now a difficult question: I’m afraid to waste a lot of energy on an area that has no future. I know it’s hard to say, but what is your assessment? Does webRTC have a future? Maybe you see a different, more promising IT/web development field?

You can find additional books here: https://bloggeek.me/tag/book-review/

For IDE, there’s nothing specific – just go with the one you use today.

– Yes…I was just in this situation, searching a whole new area, which has not yet been “won” (I mean, by a lot of people), and promises a good future. Because I want to be among the first 😉 And it seems to me that this might be just that… So I am just starting with webRTC (know nothing at this moment), and I got two books:

Real-Time Communication with WebRTC – Salvatore Loreto
WebRTC: APIs and RTCWEB Protocols of the HTML5 Real-Time Web – Alan B. Johnston

What do you mean about this books, whether they are sufficient to get started?
Maybe you can recommend some other stuff for me? Some dev forums for example?

Also, about some IDE – is there any special for webRTC, or I can use any editor with my choice?

Thanks in advance, Cvele
